Saturday 1 December 2018 (All day)

Name of Event: Mini Mayors

Volunteer Role: Help facilitate this cross site day, themed around the Lord Mayor of London and this vibrant city!

We will explore paintings at Salters’ hall where they will discover the importance of the Lord Mayor of London and what his robes and chains really mean.

At the Barbican Children’s Library they will be inspired by stories of the Lord Mayor’s procession and start creating and designing their very own 2D and 3D chain and insignia.

We’ll finish at The Charterhouse where they will learn about the Lord Mayors manifesto and create their own manifesto with a procession through the building.

This event will give you experience at working with the public, working with families, event delivery and team work!

When: 1st December, from 10:00 to 16:45

Where: Salters’ Company/ Barbican Childrens Library & Charterhouse and Museum
