Name of Event: Kent and Sussex Gleaning days

Volunteer Role: ​Harvesting produce that would have otherwise be wasted on farms for charity. Travelling to the farms, picking fruit and veg which will then be distributed to charity.

Spending time outside, working in the fields. While there is some manual work involved, there are tasks for people of different levels of fitness, and volunteers are encouraged to take breaks when needed.

When & Where: Kent gleaning days: Friday 2, Saturday 3, Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 November. All days 10:30-16:00 (leaving London approx. 09:00 returning 17:30)

Volunteer places: Up to 50, depending on the farmer’s approval.
