Saturday 2 February 2019 (All day)

Name of Event: Ceilidh Fundraiser

Volunteer Role: Be part of a fun, fundraiser evening!

Use your creativity to help decorate a hall, your charm to run the bar and contribute to raising money to renovate a community hall near Whittington Park, Islington.

Feel part of a team, meet new people and have the satisfaction of adding to the success of a fundraising campaign info here.  We will organise a rota so that you can join in the ceilidh too!

We need a team of 4 people to help run a fundraiser event.  It will involve:

  • decorating a sports hall
  • setting up and running a bar
  • helping take down afterwards

It will be a fun, sociable, community event to raise money to renovate two community halls and install a lift to make the upper hall accessible to everyone. It will involve arriving at 5.30 pm, an hour and a half before the event and staying until 10.30 pm to help clear up. It’s possible to do less than the 5 hours specified but it would be appreciated if students can commit to at least a two hour time slot and one or two of the tasks listed.

With 4 students we can have a rota on the bar so that 2 can dance and enjoy the ceilidh too!

When: Saturday 2 February, 17:30 for set up, 19:30 to 22:30

Where: Whittington Park Community Association, Rupert Road N19 4RS
