Thursday 5 December 201910.00 to 11.00

UCL is in the process of renewing its race equality charter.  We have made some progress in achieving race equality at UCL, since we last applied, but we now realise that we need to take a more urgent approach in order to achieve real and lasting change.  We have analysed our institutional processes and outcomes and formulated an action plan with distinct and impactful objectives.  However we need you to critique our action plan and advise us on whether our goals are achievable or indeed if they do not go far enough.  Our vision is for a university where student outcomes are not correlated with racial or ethnic background and are merely correlated with academic matters.  We need you to help us get there.

We will be running a number of focus groups to canvass the opinion of our Black, Asian and minority ethnic students at the following times:

  • 4 December, 13:00 - 14:00, Bidborough House
  • 5 December, 10:00 - 11:00, Bidborough House
  • 10 December, 15:00 - 16:00, Bidborough House

Please email to sign up for these focus groups. Catering will be provided, please let us know if you have any access or dietary requirements.

All participants will receive an Amazon voucher as a token of our appreciation.
