LGBT+ Network, Writers’ Society and Gender and Feminism Society will be hosting an open-mic night to celebrate LGBT+ History Month.
This event is (performers and audience) is open to all individuals both within the LGBTQIA+ community and beyond.


We are calling for performers to share their work, from short stories and poems to acoustic music and spoken word. The theme is open and flexible as long as it fits with the celebration of LGBT+ History Month.

If you would like to perform on the night please sign up via the attached google docs sheet so we have an idea of numbers.

However, there will be time after the line-up for spontaneous contributions on the night!!
Any performers will be provided with wine/soft drinks on us.

***We aim for the night to be an open and creative space and so would like to remind performers to please be mindful of the variety of people that may attend and respect our safe space policy.

On the night we will be collecting donations for the charity Mermaids ( as chosen by the LGBT+ network committee: So don’t forget to round up your change!!

we are only able to provide basic technical equipment of a mic on the night.
Drinks can be purchased at the bar but snacks will be provided.
For performers please keep performances to 3 minutes long.
