Dear PGR Students,

Have you ever wondered what editors of prestigious journals are looking for when reading your submissions? Are you, like some of us, scared to even start thinking about submitting an article? Do you wish you could time-travel and give yourself some advice on how to get your work out there? If any of these questions pique your interest, then you’ll be pleased to know that we have some answers for you!

We, the Social and Historical Sciences PGR Faculty Representatives, are excited to host an excellent panel discussion on ‘Publishing and Rejection’ for PhD students featuring Prof. Ben Lauderdale (Department of Political Science), Prof. Tariq Jazeel (Department of Geography), Dr Caroline Wintersgill (Department of Information Studies), and Anna Sneidermane from the student-run journal SLOVO.

Our panellists have been on editorial boards, have published extensively, and have a wealth of knowledge and experience they have graciously agreed to share with us.

We hope to see you there!

Best wishes,

Aleks and Will
