The 7.4-magnitude earthquake and tsunami that hit Sulawesi Island in Indonesia has swep the city of Palu and Donggala, resulting to thousands casualties and hunderds of thousands victims.

UCL Indonesian Society, together with Indonesian Film Society (IFS), Indonesian Embasssy and fellow UCL staff are hosting a fundraising event to help Palu disaster relief. We aim to raise a goal of £1,800 to help the physical and mental recovery process of those affected. 

Our events include:

FRIDAY - Indonesian snacks Bake Sale at IoE and South & North cloisters (UCL Main Building)

SATURDAY - Traditional Angklung performance & film screening of “Lights from the East: I am Maluku”

Donations can be made on the day of the screening, during our bake sale or through the link below:

Admission to the screening is voluntary, with a recommendation of £5. (Indonesian Snacks will be provided!!). All the donations will be donated to our partnering charity, the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC).
