The UCL Colombian Society invites you to a movie and discussion night.

Join us to the screening of 'La Negociación', the documentary by Margarita Martínez about the peace negotiations between the Colombian government and the former FARC-EP guerrilla.

The documentary will be followed by a discussion panel with:

Mariela Kohon, Senior International Officer at the TUC and former Director of Justice for Colombia. Ms. Kohon was an adviser to the Peace Delegation of the FARC on international relations with the United Nations, the EU and other international organisations that participate in the support and verification of the implementation of the Colombian peace agreement.

Antonio Celia, Visiting Professor in Practice at the LSE and former CEO of Promigas. Mr. Celia was part of the group of businessmen involved in the development of the Habana peace negotiations between the Colombian government and the former FARC guerrilla. He later led the ‘Consejo Empresarial para la Paz Sostenible’, a council of businessmen which monitored the implementation of the peace agreement.

Néstor Castañeda (chair) is Assistant Professor of Latin American Political Economy at University College London. Convenor of the UK Political Studies Association's Specialist Group on Latin American Politics. His research focuses on business and taxation, political finance and lobbying regulation, and electoral participation in Latin America.
