Gerhard Fourie started his career at Nissan South Africa where he spearheaded an initiative to improve marketing in Africa, Latin America, Middle East and APAC and quickly climbed the corporate ladder as he got promoted to develop Nissan’s brand strategy across product development and customer journey. During his time at Nissan, Nissan’s ranking in Interbrand’s Best Global Brands moved from 90th to 39th in five years which resulted in successful partnerships with the UEFA Champions League, City Football Group, the International Cricket Council and the 2016 Summer Olympics. This is a testament to Gerhard’s level of competence and leadership.
Currently, Gerhard is the man behind product marketing strategies, creative, brand experiences, CRM, digital and social channels at Aston Martin. He was overseeing the launching of three new cars within the span of 3 years and most recently, he was part of the launch of the Aston Martin DBX, that achieved an impressive number of orders before it even entered production. The pre-launch campaign relied exclusively on organic social media and engagement across experiential and digital channels.
Gerhard is exceptionally skilled in areas such as, but not limited to, global marketing, communications and brand strategy, project management, leadership, and digital marketing.
