UCL Friends of Israel Society and Imperial College Israeli Society present an evening with Sharon Brown MSc, head of the Forensics R&D department at the Israeli Police’s Division of Identification and Forensic Sciences

After emigrating to Israel in 1981, Sharon did a year of National Service at Sha'are Zedek hospital and then studied chemistry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, completing her Masters' degree in Analytical Chemistry in 1989. She subsequently joined the Israel Police's Division of Identification and Forensic Science (DIFS), where she served as an expert in the Questioned Documents Lab for 28 years, the last six years as the Head of the lab. For the last year she has headed the newly formed Forensic R&D Unit in the DIFS and holds the rank of Chief Superintendent.

Please join us to hear about her fascinating work in forensic sciences, including the pivotal role she played in recovering the lost diary of Colonel Ilan Ramon two months after the loss of the Colombia spacecraft.

Many thanks to the Jewish Agency for facilitating the organisation of this event.
