Monday 30 November 202017.00 to 18.15

In this new series, we will be inviting senior academics at UCL to talk to our members about their careers in academia, what their career path was like, and what their advice is on what you can do as a student to pursue your own career in academia.

Our first talk in this series is on Monday 30th November at 17:00 GMT. We are incredibly fortunate to be joined by Professor Nicola Miller from the Department of UCL History. Nicola Miller is the Professor of Latin American History at UCL has focused her own career on this topic. However, Professor Miller will also be talking more widely on her life as an academic too.

This event is a rare opportunity for any student interested in pursuing academia to find out more and is particularly relevant to those students studying humanities and, of course, history.

If you would like to attend this free event please sign up using the Eventbrite link below, where you will find more details on the talk, and the zoom link too.
