On the 9th of December at 5:00 PM GMT we will be having our first panel discussion of the academic year and our last talk of the calendar year. Our panellists are:

Simonetta Fraquelli, who after 20 years of work at the Royal Academy of Arts, has become a highly accomplished curator and consultant. Some of her major projects have been co-curating the Modigliani retrospective at the Tate in 2017-18, as well as curating the ‘Chagall, Modern Master’ exhibition the Kunsthaus Zurich and Tate Liverpool in 2013, among others.

Sonnet Stanfill is a 20th century and contemporary fashion curator at the V&A. She curated many exhibitions including ‘Ossie Clarke’ (2003), ‘New York Fashion Now’ (2007), ‘The Glamour of Italian Fashion’ 1945-2014 (2014), and co-curated ‘Ballgowns: British Glamour Since 1950’ (2012).

Alice Stevenson is a former curator at UCL’s Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology, a senior lecturer in Museum Studies at UCL’s Institute of Archaeology and a specialist in Predynastic and early Dynastic Egyptian Archaeology.

We will learn about the decision-making behind their respective projects, accessibility in exhibitions, how to get into the field, and the future of curation.
