The UCL Baking Project is part of UCL Student Led Volunteering aiming to give isolated elderly members of the community more opportunities for socialisation. In short, we run group baking sessions with elderly members of the Camden community in community centres and sheltered housing. Volunteering with the elderly is a very rewarding experience and with the project you can make someone’s day at the same time as baking delicious food.

The sessions take place bi-monthly, primarily on Wednesday afternoons.  You can attend as many or as few sessions as you want, even if this only means a couple of sessions through the year.

We are always looking for volunteers whether you are willing to make a regular commitment to helping at our sessions, or are looking for a one off volunteering opportunity. We also welcome experienced bakers or baking newbies who are happy to lend a hand.
