#Zero Food Waste
Zero Food Waste is a project at UCL that aims to tackle food waste on campus. We re-distribute food from where it is in excess to where it is in need: from UCL cafés to homeless shelters. (Volunteering takes place on Thursdays and Fridays in the afternoon/evening.) We are currently looking for Zero Food Waste Volunteers! If you are interested, please click on the 'expression of interest' button…

We are looking for volunteers to help us redistribute surplus food from UCL cafes to homeless shelters! Anyone with an interest in helping fight food waste is welcome.

Time commitment

The commitment to this project depends on your availability. There is no minimum commitment, and you will be able to sign up for a Wednesday/Friday shift the week before. Each shift lasts around 1 hour.
Application deadline
What measures have you put in place to ensure volunteers’ safety during COVID-19?
Face coverings are mandatory inside unless exempt. We will strongly encourage a negative COVID-19 Lateral Flow Test before attending the shift. We will also provide face masks and hand sanitiser.

This is an opportunity offered by a Student-Led Volunteering Project. It is run by UCL students and supported and supervised by staff in Students' Union UCL Volunteering Service.
