Historic Royal Palaces
We are the independent charity that looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, the Banqueting House, Kensington Palace and Kew Palace. We help everyone to explore the story of how monarchs and people have shaped society in some of the greatest palaces ever built.

Celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen at the Tower of London where a spectacular, vibrant field of flowers will fill and transform the Tower of London's famous moat.

From June to September, over 20 million seeds will erupt into a dramatic floral display for visitors to enjoy.  To make our summer Superbloom event a success we need a great team of volunteers.

There are 2 roles being developed currently, both have a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities - the Welcome Team and the Moat Interpretation Team.

No previous experience is required and all training will be provided, both roles have been designed to be accessible and engaging for first timers and veteran volunteers alike.

Volunteer roles are open to anyone aged 16+

Time commitment

The event will be open to the public from the beginning of June through to mid- September, depending on how the blooms are still looking at the end of summer. We will also be running some dress rehearsals and press days in late May that we will need help with as well.

Superbloom will be open to the public 7 days a week 9am till 6pm and we will be running lates on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays where we will be open till 10pm. Successful volunteers will be allocated specific shifts based around their availability.
What measures have you put in place to ensure volunteers’ safety during COVID-19?
This will be covered as part of our Health and Safety briefing for all volunteers.
