Opportunity description: 

Bletchley Park is a place of exceptional historical importance being the home of code breaking in the Second World War, producing secret intelligence which had a direct and profound influence on the outcome of the conflict. You will be welcoming and inspiring young minds about Bletchley Park, what went on here during the war and its impact on our lives today. You’ll have the chance to make the experiences of those who worked here come life, tell the story of the Enigma machine and the code breakers to school groups.

The aim of the role is to support the learning team in the delivery of high-quality educational visits to schools of different age groups and abilities by leading the site tours that are a part of the school visit; and to support the learning department in delivering inspiring, engaging, hands-on and informative stories to our visiting groups of primary, secondary and post-16 students, adapting pitch and delivery of session to suit the audience

Location: 
Bletchley, Milton Keynes. Accessible from Bletchey Train Station (National Rail from Euston)

This role is available Monday – Friday because it is in line with our school visits. Hours are normally between 10.00 and 14.30 Ideally, we’d like someone who can help us one day each month until the end of the academic year (July). If you can stay with the team for longer that would be great! We have a volunteer software system that allows you to sign up/cancel shifts up to 3 days before the shift is due as we aim to offer as much flexibility as possible.
