Bishop Creighton House - Keep Active Hammersmith & Fulham
Bishop Creighton House is a community centre established over 100 years ago that aims for its beneficiaries to have a sense of well-being and independence, working together for the benefit of all. Bishop Creighton House aims to tackle the problems caused by social isolation and disadvantage. We do this by developing and providing programmes that offer practical solutions and emotional support for…

The aim of the Keep Active Volunteer Scheme is to provide support to older people with outdoor mobility and exercises after they've had a fall, stroke or other illness to enable them to be physically active and independent again. By helping them achieve their mobility goals, they can then access their community again to prevent loneliness and isolation. Volunteers will develop an understanding of the difficulties older people face with rehabilitation after they have been discharged from clinical services. They will develop a range of motivational skills and get a good understanding of the benefits of exercise and mobility, and the positive impact it can have on older people.
