Overview: Help out at our weekly Friday Night Social, a disco for adults with learning disabilities!

We are delighted that the much-loved disco will be returning from Friday 6th May following a long closure due to COVID-19. We will be needing a new volunteer team of 9 people to support this well attended event! This is a really fun and social volunteering opportunity that can be flexible (e.g. fortnightly commitment option) and could be done with other students/ friends, so please get in touch if interested!

Purpose of this role:

The purpose of this role will be to involve attendees and to encourage everyone to participate in the event. In addition, this role will help with the practical elements of setting up and breaking down the weekly event.

Time commitment

Fridays 7:00 - 9:30 PM (weekly or fortnightly commitment)
What measures have you put in place to ensure volunteers’ safety during COVID-19?
We are fully certificated Covid-19 secure building and there are still measures in place such as mask wearing, temperature checks and LFT testing as we work with vulnerable people.

This organisation is one of our community partner organisations.

Like all volunteer recruiters we work with, they have signed up to our service standards, agreeing to abide by our policy on partnership working.

In addition, the team here at Students’ Union UCL Volunteering Service is here to support you throughout your volunteering journey – you can get in touch at any time with any questions, queries or problems you encounter.
