Oxfam GB
Oxfam is an international NGO that works with others to overcome poverty and suffering around the world.

You will be working in one of our local Oxfam shops with a diverse team of fellow volunteers and supported by a (paid) shop manager or deputy. The mission is to make as much as possible to achieve Oxfam's aim of alleviating global poverty and injustice.

You will be able to work with customers and donors in a "front of house" role, often multi-tasking serving customers at the till with keeping the shop looking beautiful. There is also the opportunity of a "behind the scenes" role where you will be selecting and preparing items for sale from our amazing donations - this could be category-specific e.g. books or fashion or it could be a random assortment. And then there's the option to do "a bit of everything"!

Time commitment

Ideally we would like volunteers to make a regular commitment on a longer-term basis (3 months or more). However, we would be open to short-term placements (for example during holidays) and particularly if you were available more than 2 or 3 days a week.
