Age UK Camden
Age UK Camden aims to promote the well-being of all older people in the London borough of Camden and to help make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. We provide a wide range of services and projects that aim to support people in later life, including those that are the most vulnerable and isolated.

The Dementia Wellbeing Service provides support, to older people living in the community to stay connected and  engaged with their day to day affairs and interests, by producing a Wellbeing Plan.

The coordinator works with the client, their family, or carers to produce a personalised wellbeing plan.

Volunteers help the coordinator deliver this plan with the client

The service supports Camden residents over the age of 55 in the early or moderate stages of dementia.

Time commitment

The service runs Tuesday - Friday 10 -5pm.
Ideally we need volunteers who have a 2 -3 hours to help out once a week or fortnight, during these hours.
Volunteers can expect for it to take 6 -8 weeks from application to starting to volunteer as they need to complete training and induction before being matched.
We also ask people to have the ability and intention to be able to volunteer for 12 months.
Application deadline
What measures have you put in place to ensure volunteers’ safety during COVID-19?
We follow current government guidance on COVID and adapt the role as necessary.

This organisation is one of our community partner organisations.

Like all volunteer recruiters we work with, they have signed up to our service standards, agreeing to abide by our policy on partnership working.
