"Using art to talk about mental health."

We are running a creative arts project for young people at The Hive in Camden. The project is centered around helping young peoples aged 16-24 to explore and discuss the stigma surrounding mental health issues through different creative mediums.

We are looking for volunteers with an interest in working with young people, and a creative skill or practice that they would like to share through a 2-hour workshop. This could be anything from creative writing to music to art - the more expressive and exciting the better!

The sessions will be very informal and relaxed, with a focus on engagement and creating conversation about mental health topics.

Time commitment

The commitment is just one session sharing your art / skill / hobby - it would be around 3-4 hours one weeknight afternoon between February and April.
If you enjoy and would like to help run future sessions of course that would be great too!
What measures have you put in place to ensure volunteers’ safety during COVID-19?
Mask wearing, volunteers lateral flow testing, hand-sanitising

This is an opportunity offered by a Student-Led Volunteering Project. It is run by UCL students and supported and supervised by staff in Students' Union UCL Volunteering Service.
