Stories from around the world in one website. Free for all that want to enjoy cultural stories from the 15 languages that are most spoken in the UK.

Help write creative stories, make sure our written stories are high quality, and help children that have English as a second language by translating into any languages you are proficient in.

Application deadline: 

World Stories is a free, electronic library of stories from around the world, created by KidsOut charity in an attempt to create a teaching resource that also helps disadvantaged students. The website consists of over 100 stories in English and a native language. We focus on the top 15 most spoken languages in the UK, these include: Polish, Bengali, Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Hindi, Tagalog, Urdu and Arabic. We also create audios, teaching resources, illustrations and more but we need your help to make this the best free resource available to schools.

Role Aim: 

We urgently need a sound recordist that will be able to commit part of their time to creating high quality audios in various different languages

Duties: 

The project would test your organisation skill, independent work, and hone your recording skills. We will make this a stress free job where all the volunteers can relax and enjoy their time.
