Oxfam GB

Oxfam is an international NGO that works with others to overcome poverty and suffering around the world.

Volunteer in an Oxfam shop for as little as four hours a week and you’ll join a

powerful movement of people united by one goal - an end to poverty, for everyone.

Volunteering:

Most of the roles in are inside the shop, so it is retail - customer service, till

operations and some shops also sells online.

What we offer?

Role Aim: 

Provide customer service in the retail service.

Duties: 

- Till operations.

- Customer service.

- Sorting, pricing and restocking goods.

- Assisting with merchandising.

- Accepting and thanking customers for their donations.

- Creating value for the donor and for Oxfam by asking every donor if they

are signed up to Gift Aid.

Skills needed: 

- Reliable and enthusiastic.

- Ability to work as part of a team.

- Willingness to learn.

- You do not need previous experience as we will provide all the training and

support you need.

Location: 
London Area (several locations around the city, volunteers can let us know which shop is more convenient for them)
Time commitment: 
1-3 hours per week
Opening times: 
We expect volunteers to commit at least one shift of 4 hours per week for 6 months (desirable)
