An exciting opportunity has arisen to work closely with our counselling service administrative team. The role will be primarily desk based and we are looking for someone with good attention to detail. Admin experience is essential for this role. The role will involve a range of administrative tasks which are essential for supporting a counselling service. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain further experience in administration within our busy counselling service.

Role Aim: 

To provide support to our therapeutic service.

Duties: 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work closely with our counselling service administrative team. Our counselling service is a free service and supports women and girls over the age of 13 who have experienced any form of sexual violence and/or domestic abuse at any time in their lives. We offer one to one counselling, group therapy and advocacy across 13 boroughs in London.

This role is ideal for someone looking to gain further experience in administration within our busy counselling service. The role will involve a range of administration tasks including collating and processing Service User information, data entry in different secure systems, data collection, typing and formatting documents, organising efficient filing systems, logging messages, as well as other general administrative tasks as and when required.

We are looking for someone with excellent attention to detail and a genuine interest in contributing to help improve women’s lives.

Whilst every endeavour has been made to outline the duties and responsibilities of the post, these duties are not exhaustive.

Skills needed: 

- Admin skills are essential for this role

- Confident using Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to be well organised

- Good written communication skills

- Tact and discretion in handling confidential information

Training: 

Volunteers will be able to access Solace Women’s Aid’s induction and internal volunteer training programme. Full support will be given to help volunteers understand and carry out any aspect of the role as appropriate.
