We are looking for a motivated volunteer who would like to support us to develop the way we communicate with our volunteers, mainly focusing on email. The potential Intern would focus on researching how other organisations communicate with their volunteers, reviewing our current communication with volunteers, consulting with volunteers and staff on what communication they would like to see and designing a new communication pathway for us. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, including confidence speaking on the phone and using email, organisation, time management and Basic IT skills (including Word and Excel).

Role Aim: 

To support us to develop the way we communicate with our volunteers, mainly focusing on email

Duties: 

• Researching how other organisations communicate with their volunteers

• Reviewing our current communication with volunteers

• Consulting with volunteers and staff on what communication they would like to see

• Designing a new communication pathway for us

Skills needed: 

• Communication skills, including confidence speaking on the phone and using email

• Organisation and time management

• Basic IT skills including Word and Excel

Training: 

Completion of induction training including volunteer induction training and disability equality training

Location: 
Leonard Cheshire Disability Head Office, South Lambeth Road, Vauxhall, SW8 1RL
Time commitment: 
3-5 hours per week
Opening times: 
The role is available for 25 hours per week/ Monday-Friday,
