Greenhouse Sports is a registered charity that was founded in 2002 by Michael de Giorgio.

Our Vision: Every child has a fair chance to succeed.

Our Mission: To deliver intensive sports coaching and mentoring to help develop the Social, Thinking, Emotional and Physical (STEP) abilities of young people from disadvantaged communities.

Greenhouse Sports is a charity that develops young people through sport. Our vision is that Every child has a fair chance to succeed. Our mission is to deliver intensive sports coaching and mentoring to help develop the Social, Thinking, Emotional and Physical (STEP) abilities of young people from disadvantaged communities.

As a voluntary assistant your role will be to support of lead coach with the delivery of our sports programme.

All volunteers will be supported throughout, and we will look to place you within a setting that matches your skills and wants.

Other roles will be considered and we have a brand new community sports centre opening in April 2018.

Role Aim: 

The role of voluntary assistant coach is to support our lead coaches at one of our school programmes.

Duties: 

Our lead coach will work with the voluntary assistant coach and our volunteering team to identify a role for each volunteer. We will place volunteers based upon their individual requirements and needs. Volunteer duties might include the following:

• Lead a warm up or element of the session as instructed by the lead coach.

• Support the lead coach in delivering a coaching session.

Knowledge of sport, enthusiastic, confident

Training:

Dependant on Location we have opportunities across London
Time commitment: 
1-5 hours per week
Opening times: 
Times are varied but can include: early mornings, during the day, after-school and evenings.
