We are an international voluntary organisation focusing on peace education that has been bringing young people together for over 60 years. CISV runs a range of programmes for different age groups, bringing together participants from over 70 countries. CISV London is a growing chapter within the Great Britain National Association

International Summer Camp Staff needed!

CISV is an international charity based in 70 countries worldwide. CISV educates and inspires action for a more just and peaceful world. CISV organises international peace education summer camps for youth.

This summer CISV London are hosting an international camp for 36 15 year olds from 9 countries. We are looking for motivated individuals to volunteer at our camp. This includes roles such as a camp set up, Kitchen Staff and camp set down. Accommodation and food are provided on site for all volunteers at no cost.

Role Aim: 

This summer we are hosting an international summer camp with 9 delegations from around the world. For our camp to run smoothly we need volunteers to help with camp set up, Kitchen Staff and camp set down.


Camp Set Up 18-19 July


• Organising rooms

• Putting up signs

• Organising the kitchen

• Unpacking food

Kitchen Staff 19 July-10 August


• Preparing food with the Kitchen Team

• Cooking food with the Kitchen Team

• Understanding food allergies

• Working with children

• Working with youth

• Helping delegations who may want to cook international food

Camp Set Down 10-11 August


• Packing up food

• Cleaning the kitchen

• Packing up bedding and resources

• Cleaning the campsite

Skills needed: 


Team Work



When volunteers arrive at the camp site we will train them. The Camp Director will provide training on:

• CISV’s principals

• Risk Management in CISV

• Safeguarding in CISV

Opening times: 
This role is very flexible. We are happy for volunteers to help for a few hours, or several days. We have some volunteers who do the whole camp. Monday-Sunday 18 July-11 August.

Once you’ve registered interest in this volunteering role, we’ll send your name and UCL email address to the organisation for their records. You’ll also receive information about the next steps to take if you do wish to take things forward. The organisation has signed up to our code of standards, which includes a commitment to protecting your data. We won’t share your information with anyone unless you’ve given explicit consent to.
