About the organisation

Aston Mansfield

Aston-Mansfield has been working in the heart of east London for over 130 years. We provide a wide range of community development support and activities in the London Borough of Newham, directly delivering services to around 1000 people and 900 organisations each year.

Emphasising developmental learning and personal growth, our services bring together people from diverse backgrounds to tackle poverty and deprivation and to enrich people’s lives. We aim to improve people’s lives: working with children, young people and families, whilst also developing community groups and the voluntary sector.

Help us build stronger communities at Aston-Mansfield by volunteering in our charity shop in Forest Gate!

We’re in need of some new volunteer to join us in our shop on Woodgrange Road. We’re looking for individuals who are able to commit once a week for at least 6 months. If you have previous retail experience, we’d love to hear form you - but don’t worry if not. If you are successful your supervisor will induct you into the role and explain the basic principles of volunteering in a charity shop.

The role will include sorting and pricing stock, manning the till and acting as a representative for the organisation. There is also scope to window dress and curate outfits for mannequins.

If you’re interested in applying, please get in touch!

Role Aim:
