We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us run a 6 weeks summer programme, packed with activities and lots of fun! We offer a range of positive activities, youth clubs, small trips and city outings for young people this summer holiday 2019. Some of the activities include cooking, gardening, drama, music workshops, ICT and sports to name but a few.

2 sessions a day taking place Monday to Friday 10:15:00pm and 16:00-21:00pm from 23rd July to 30 August. Minimum commitment one session a week.

Befriending Volunteers at Look Ahead will be passionate about helping others. Mainly the role is about befriending someone who may be lonely or vulnerable. A befriender will provide the customer with companionship and support, both practical and emotional.

The Virgin Money London Marathon is the biggest one-day fundraising event in the world where over 40,000 people take to the streets of London and run 26.2 miles.

Over 120 runners are fundraising for Mencap to change the lives of people with a learning disability.

What will I be doing?

We will have 5 cheer points along the route where you will cheer on our runners to help them get the finish line!

You’ll be part of a diverse and inclusive team alongside volunteers with and without a learning disability.

Action on Hearing Loss are recruiting volunteers to help out at the London Marathon. In its 37th year, this iconic event brings in thousands of runners and spectators. We need volunteers to cheer on our fantastic runners, greet them at the finish line, and escort them to our post-race reception.

World Stories is a free, electronic library of stories from around the world, created by KidsOut charity in an attempt to create a teaching resource that also helps disadvantaged students. The website consists of over 100 stories in English and a native language. We focus on the top 15 most spoken languages in the UK, these include: Polish, Bengali, Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Hindi, Tagalog, Urdu and Arabic.

The Manor Gardens Welfare Trust was founded in 1913. Our services are dedicated to promoting good mental health, physical health and wellbeing across Islington.

The Wellbeing Service @ Manor Gardens is currently looking to recruit new Mental Health Champion Volunteers.

Mental Health Champions are a community of individuals actively starting conversations around mental health.

Working alongside the CARAS youth team, you will be helping us to deliver a youth planned summer trips programme. Summers can be very isolating for young people who are coming alone to this country. With summer programme, we are aiming to run daily programme for young people, helping them to engage with educational and practical activities. In addition to our regular programme, we are also running fun and youth-chosen trips in and around London.
