Holborn Community Association

Holborn Community Association (HCA) is a community anchor organisation based in central London which aims to encourage community integration, increase opportunities for local people and reduce social and economic inequalities in our community. At our three centres we provide activities and services to the residents of Holborn and the surrounding areas. Older Peoples services are based at Millman Street Resource Centre. Sport/fitness and under 5’s play activities are run out of Bedford House. Arts and Crafts take place at 1A-Arts Centre.

Creative volunteers will be required to assist with the delivery of hands-on digital media sessions.

Role Aim: 

Creative volunteers will be required to assist with the delivery of hands-on digital media sessions.

Duties: 

Responsibilities are to:

* Motivate, support and engage young people (aged 13-18) during the weekly Media Arts Club sessions

* Help to set up and clear away the sessions

* Contribute ideas for arts activities and projects

Skills needed: 

An interest in the arts and digital media is an advantage. No previous qualifications are necessary, although experience of working with young people on arts based activities would be valuable. Creative drive and good communications with young people are essential.

Time commitment: 
3-5 hours per week
Opening times: 
Volunteers will start immediately, (Oct-Nov 2017)
