Give Opportunity Global is a charity registered in England and Wales with the objective of empowering and supporting the poor in East Africa to access education, basic healthcare, clean water and microfinance.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers for Marketing Executive roles to manage our marketing strategy to increase overall audience engagement and drive interest in our charity.

Working closely with executive team, marketing and fundraising teams you will help increase fundraising and raise our charity awareness

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain invaluable hands-on experience whilst contributing to life changing projects helping children to access education and empower women and youth with capital to start small businesses to generate income and break poverty cycle

No prior experience is required although marketing or fundraising is advantageous

Role Aim: 

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers for Marketing executive roles. In this role you will manage, develop and implement marketing strategy to increase overall audience engagement and drive interest in our charity.

Working closely with executive team, marketing and fundraising teams you will help increase fundraising and raise our charity awareness.

This is a great opportunity which will give you invaluable hands-on experience of marketing, critical thinking, creativity, coordinating with others, people management, problem solving, negotiation, emotion intelligence, decision making, communication and fundraising.

No prior experience is required although marketing or fundraising is advantageous.

Duties: 

• You will help to further increase awareness of our charity and engagement with potential supporters

• Assist to identify target audiences and work with fundraising teams to devise and execute campaigns that engage, inform and convert.

• Assist to develop and implement marketing plans

• Assist with Blog writing and publishing for GOG

• Assist with marketing and fundraising through social media platforms

• Assist with sending out letters, emails and reports to our supporters

• Liaise with executive team to plan and implement projects

• Meet with executive team for work review and updates

• Support with ad hoc tasks i.e. updates on the database and website.

Skills needed: 

• Have good communication and interpersonal skills

• Be able to use Social Media and web-based communications

• Creative marketing and audience engagement

• Be creative, innovative and proactive

• Be able to work from their own initiative and follow instructions from executive team

• Be organised, reliable and committed

• Have an attention to detail and ‘can do attitude’

• Have basic knowledge of MS Office packages, as well as digital skills using social media, understanding audience bases etc.

Training: 

Use of MS Office training will be offered if require, Media communications and fundraising will be offered depending volunteer’s level of competence.
