About the organisation
Age UK Kensington & Chelsea
Age UK Kensington & Chelsea is a local charity working with and for older people. We aim to promote independence and well-being in later life, encouraging self-help and peer support.
We offer a wide range of services and activities, and provide
interesting opportunities for people of all ages to get involved as
volunteers.
Our services go from Information and Advice (benefit claim or housing) Befriending (one-to-one basis or in group including people who lives with dementia) Shopping (taking people to their weekly shopping) IT support, Small DIY tasks (changing lightbulbs or assembling a flat pack) Gardening, Chair based exercise (to keep the muscle fit) Walking Support (to help people to recover their confidence after suffering a fall)

Age UK Kensington and Chelsea actively combats loneliness by connecting isolated people with their community and supporting them to join group activities. Volunteers lead a wide range of these activities, courses and clubs providing older populations with opportunities for people to meet and learn new skills.
