About the organisation

Handel & Hendrix in London

Handel & Hendrix in London celebrate the life, music and times of two dynamic individuals.

Handel & Hendrix in London promotes the knowledge, awareness and enjoyment of Handel and Hendrix’s music to as wide a public audience as possible. We strive to inspire, educate and inform visitors through a series of concerts, talks and exhibitions about the two famous residents of neighbouring houses in Brook Street. We are looking for enthusiastic, pro-active and open-minded individuals to join our large and sociable volunteer team.

Role Aim:

Volunteers play an invaluable and integral part in the everyday operations of our unique and beautiful historic houses, and make a valuable contribution to our work too. Handel & Hendrix in London provides a stimulating environment for volunteers to develop their knowledge, meet new people and acquire new skills.

Key volunteer responsibilities include room stewarding, covering the reception and box office and serving in the gift shop. Volunteers receive training across all of these areas.

Skills needed:

A desire to learn, open-mindedness, fluency in English language, punctuality, good communication skills.

We have an in-depth training programme which all volunteers complete once joining the team. This includes room steward training, EPOSNow shop till training and Spektrix box office training.
