Do you have experience of the world of work? Would you like to help disabled people launch their careers’ Join our team as an Employment Support Volunteer and support with CV writing, confidence building and employer engagement

Role Aim: 

Our Employment Support Volunteer will support clients to create CVs, and help us identify and recruit local employers who would be interested in considering our clients for jobs and work experience.


The role will include:

• Helping our clients to search and apply for jobs online

• Assisting our clients with writing CVs and cover letters

• Encouraging disabled people to feel confident in finding and applying for jobs

• Contact employers on behalf of Leonard Cheshire

• Identify new employment opportunities and employers to contact in line with information provided by the Employment Advisor

Skills needed: 

• Experience in creating and/or reviewing CVs or good level of literacy and demonstrable ability to do so

• Organisation and reliability

• Good communication skills, both written and spoken

• Fluent English language, both written and spoken
