Give Opportunity Global is a charity registered in England and Wales with the objective of empowering and supporting the poor in East Africa to access education, basic healthcare, clean water and microfinance.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers for the Education Partnership Executive role. The role will support developing partnerships with schools and universities here in UK.

Working closely with executive team, you will help us develop links to schools and universities encouraging students to get involved in our charity projects here in UK and Africa, ultimately contributing to ‘build a school project’.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain invaluable hands-on experience whilst contributing to life changing projects helping children and the youth to access education in Africa.

No prior experience is required although Marketing or Fundraising or Teaching is advantageous

Role Aim: 

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers for Education Partnership Executive. The role will support developing partnerships with schools and universities.

Working closely with executive team, you will help us develop links to schools and universities encouraging students to get involved in our charity projects here in UK and Africa, ultimately contributing to our ‘building a school project’

This is a great opportunity which will give you invaluable hands-on experience of communication, business development, critical thinking, creativity, coordinating with others, people management, problem solving, negotiation, emotion intelligence and decision making.

Duties: 

• Assist executive team in developing partnerships proactively seeking potential school partners to support our build a school and women economic empowerment projects in Africa.

• You will assist in developing and building strong relationships with potential supporters to ensure maximum likelihood of success.

• Actively seeking for schools and universities that would be willing to host our charity team talk events and exploring ways we can partner together.

• You will work with other teams to promote our ‘Pen Pal Programmes’ in schools connecting students and pupils to their peers at our schools in Africa.

• Work with our fundraising and marketing teams to set up some exciting fundraising events with the schools.

• Liaise with executive team to plan and implement projects.

• Meet with executive team for work review and updates.

Skills needed: 

• Have good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

• Some experience of fundraising in the charitable sector or willingness to learn fast to carry out the duties mentioned above.

• Be creative, engaging and persuasive.

• Be able to work from their own initiative and follow instructions from executive team

• Be organised, reliable and committed

• Be innovative and can-do attitude

• Have an attention to detail and good work ethic.

Training: 

Use of MS Office training will be offered if required and fundraising training will be offered depending on volunteer’s level of competence.

Time commitment: 
3-5 hours per week
Opening times: 
We are mindful of students’ study demands, we are flexible and can negotiate convenient time
