Holborn Community Association

Holborn Community Association (HCA) is a community anchor organisation based in central London which aims to encourage community integration, increase opportunities for local people and reduce social and economic inequalities in our community. At our three centres we provide activities and services to the residents of Holborn and the surrounding areas. Older Peoples services are based at Millman Street Resource Centre. Sport/fitness and under 5’s play activities are run out of Bedford House. Arts and Crafts take place at 1A-Arts Centre.

This exciting digital marketing volunteer role will give you hands-on experience in creating, implementing and evaluating digital marketing for a charity and working closely with the marketing coordinator.

Holborn Community Association has been a vital part of the local community for over 30 years. Across 3 centres,we run a range of sport, play and art activities for everyone from 0-99+. Our warm, welcoming approach is based on bringing people together and learning in a fun environment.

You will get experience in designing, running and evaluating your own digital marketing campaigns with support from the marketing coordinator. Your work will also help us to showcase the important work we do - supporting over 1300+ people a year.

Role Aim:

Skills needed: 

● Good IT and typing skills

● Experience of using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel

● Good organisational skills

● Ability to work as part of a team

● Good communication skills

● A professional and flexible approach

● Reliable and dependable

Volunteers must also be willing and able to work within HCA’s policies and procedures and to treat all people with dignity and respect.

Training: 

HCA will provide an induction into volunteering for the organisation and the role. Coaching or training will be provided where necessary, for example, on updating the website and using Canva.

Location: 
Millman Street Resource Centre and occasionally Bedford House Community Centre
Time commitment: 
3-5 hours per week
Opening times: 
We are open Monday to Friday, 10:00-16:00. The marketing coordinator works Tuesday / Wednesday / Friday.
