Pratham UK

Established in 1995, Pratham is now one of the largest and most successful non-governmental education organisations in India.

Working in collaboration with governments, communities, parents, teachers and volunteers, we focus on innovative interventions to address gaps in the education system. The clarity of our mission - "every child in school and learning well" - drives our work through programmes focused on primary education, back to school initiatives and vocational training. Pratham UK is the fundraising and awareness building arm of the charity, which strives to engage the community and make people aware of the charity’s meaningful work.

Work at India’s largest education charity in their fundraising and awareness building efforts to make a tangible difference in educating millions of underprivileged children in India. Get hands on experience in digital marketing, donor management, content creation and thought leadership, all the while raising funds to improve and transform communities through education programmes. We want someone who is passionate about education and enthusiastic to learn to join our Pratham team!

Role Aim: 

Fundraising and awareness building

Duties: 

- Organise fundraising events

- Social media campaigns

- University/school outreach

- Write articles/newsletters

Skills needed: 

Collaboration, teamwork, leadership

Training: 

1 day brief to talk to the volunteer through the role and ongoing support and guidance throughout placement

Time commitment: 
1-3 hours per week
Opening times: 
Monday - Thursday 10:30 - 5:30
