We are looking for a motivated volunteer who would like to support us to develop the way we communicate with our volunteers, mainly focusing on email. The potential Intern would focus on researching how other organisations communicate with their volunteers, reviewing our current communication with volunteers, consulting with volunteers and staff on what communication they would like to see and designing a new communication pathway for us.

Outreach Support Volunteer (OSV)

Organisation: 

Betknowmore UK is a gambling support service based in Islington. We provide 1:1 outreach and counselling support, workshops and community information and awareness campaigns addressing problem gambling and addiction.

Volunteers are required to help support our outreach services and community events. For suitable candidates, there may also be the opportunity to provide 1:1 mentoring/befriending to clients presenting with gambling issues. Volunteers would receive full support and training.

The role involves desk-based research and agency site visits where necessary and would suit a student of any discipline with excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Opening Doors London is the LGBTQ+ organisation for people aged over 50 working under the Age UK Camden umbrella. We are recruiting a cohort of Volunteer Community Researchers who will support our mission to become an evidence based organisation. We are looking for LGBTQ+ aware people of all ages to help support our operations team and our team of external evaluators who are undertaking a year-long study to assess the effectiveness of our charity.
