About the organisation

Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film School

The Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film School, which is a not for profit organisation, opened in 2001 as a Princes Trust Business. Since then it has won multiple Business of London Awards and has a growing reputation within the performing arts industry.

Our guiding principle is to provide a safe, supportive environment for young people to explore the performing arts, whether they have dreams of entering the profession or simply wish to use the performing arts classes to learn some valuable life enhancing skills. We have an incredible team of staff who encourage team work, self-expression, confidence, communication, discipline, respect and fun.

Duties:

Backstage assistants will be working with our students (ages seven to eighteen) at the Arts Depot Theatre, preparing them for their performance. This is a great opportunity for people looking to gain experience working with young people or in the theatre. You will be helping to manage the students, ensuring they are calm and focused for their performance, in the correct costume and ready to go on stage. Students go through many emotions during the day, from insecurity and nervousness to pride and excitement. You will get to experience all of this with them, and we are sure you will be extremely proud of their achievements at the end of the day.
