Centre 404

Centre 404 is a charity that offers friendly, reliable and person centred support to people with a learning disability and their families in north London. It was founded in 1951 by carers of children with learning disabilities and continues to work towards building a community and a society where people with learning disabilities are valued and involved members of our community. Over the years, Centre 404 has built vital services in Islington and across north London that have enabled children and adults with a learning disability and their families to have a voice and access to activities and support.

Exciting new volunteer opportunity! We are looking for a volunteer who would be willing to be the right hand to the event planner for our Charity. The volunteer would be involved in the creative planning and execution of our fundraising events and Annual General Meeting. Tasks include helping establish and build corporate relationships, compiling invite list, securing supplies, setting up event, and helping overseas the event itself. Great for building CV and job experience.

Role Aim: 

Centre 404 runs annual events and fundraiser for the community. The role will help the Event Planner in various planning tasks.

Duties: 

Volunteer to help assist event planner in venue hiring, corporate partnership development, invitation mail outs and lists, brainstorming event ideas, coordinating volunteer roles.

Skills needed: 

• Organised and good attention to detail

• Creative

• Good written and oral skills

Training: 

• Adult Safeguard Training

• Centre 404 inducuction

• Health and Safety

Location: 
404 Camden Road Holloway London N7 0SJ
Time commitment: 
3-5 hours per week
Opening times: 
Flexible between Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00.
