Opportunity: CALM HQ Helper

Help CALM give our supporters the best possible experience. Work with the Engagement and Fundraising teams to fulfil orders from people raising money and awareness for CALM.

As CALM grows and grows, we have been inundated with requests for our materials. We need your help to fulfil these orders. This is an ongoing role as we need volunteers on a weekly basis.

You*ll genuinely be helping people affected by suicide in different ways.

Noah’s Ark are in the very early days of a partnership with Charity Podz, the charitable arm of a family business, Toy Podz. They have been incredibly successful with Toy Podz and have recently branched into supporting charities by supplying un-manned concessions that are branded with the charity logo and marketing message. The concessions sell licensed capsuled toys for *1 of which the charity receives 25p. They’re perfect for keeping children entertained!

We have a brilliant opportunity to raise much needed awareness and funds through this partnership.
The purpose of this role is to source and approach local businesses, organisations and venues who would be happy to have a Charity Podz concession.

The office can get very busy and the role requires excellent attention to detail, confidence when dealing with the public and Microsoft Office skills.

At Age UK Westminster we operate a weekly information and advice telephone helpline for our service users and other members of the public which takes place between 10am-2pm, from Monday to Friday. We rely heavily on our trained Reception Volunteers to deliver this vital service.

We would like volunteers to join us for just a minimum of 4 hours per week, to manage our busy telephone helpline, dealing with enquiries, providing information and advice to our service users, signposting callers to other service providers in order to enable them to access the services they require. We would also require your assistance in providing general administrative support to our small staff team.

The purpose of the volunteer roles are to enable HCT to strengthen our offer of Community Transport in Hackney. The volunteer admin role will help ‘behind the scenes’ to support us to operate a smooth process from booking to using the vehicles.
