UCL People’s FA Cup 2019

Want to lift the People’s FA Cup at Wembley in May? If that’s a yes, then read on.

In partnership with BBC Get Inspired, the Higher Education Category of the People’s FA Cup is back! Played alongside the Emirates FA Cup, it gives amateur players the chance to have a taste of Cup glory! 

UCL will be hosting a 5 a side Football tournament on Wednesday 20th February.

Team up with your course mates, house mates or just a group of friends and start your journey to Wembley today!

How does it work?

The competition takes place over three rounds:

Regional Round: UCL tournament on Wednesday 20th February, 1.30 - 5pm. Winner progresses to Semi Finals.

Regional Semi Finals: will take place between 23rd-24th March, exact date and venue TBC.  Winner progresses to Finals. 

Grand Finals: held at St George’s Park 27th-28th April.  Winners will be presented their trophy at the FA Cup Final in May!

How much does it cost?

The tournament is free to enter, we just ask for a £20 team deposit (payable online once your team has been entered), which will be returned to you on the day of the tournament.

Pitch hire, referees, balls, bibs etc are all provided. 

Who can enter?

The tournament is open to all UCL students who do not participate in the BUCS Football Leagues. Students must be 18 or over. 

Please note UCL teams wishing to participate in this tournament will need to register via the Union, see below for how, and not directly through the FA.

Where will the tournament take place?

 Play Football, 41 S Africa Rd, White City, London W12 7RW.
The venue is a short walk from Wood Lane or White City tube stations
