This Union Notes: 

 

1. That the Bye-Laws themselves can be changed in only one reading. 
2. That the Bye-Laws and Guidance Documents are in equal stead. 
3. That anything written into a Guidance Document could be written into the Bye-Laws to the 
same effect. 
4. That the Elections Guidance document requires two readings. 


 

This Union Believes: 

 

1. That this is a bit silly. 


 

This Union Resolves: 

 

1. To amend Bye-Laws section 9.31 from: 


 

The Guidance Document on Elections may be changed by a 75% majority vote at two 
quorate meetings of Union Council. 

 

to: 

 

The Guidance Document on Elections may be changed by a 75% majority vote at one 
quorate meeting of Union Council.
