Amount of claim:
- A maximum of £1,508 per annum in the years 2013 to 2014
- A maximum of £1,523 per annum in the years 2014 to 2015
Parents’ Learning Allowance is paid on top of other forms of student funding so it will not impact benefits or tax credit. The funds can be used to pay for books, study materials and transport expenditures.
Eligibility requirements:
Student parents are eligible to apply for the Parents’ Learning Allowance if they are pursuing:
- Full-time undergraduate degree
- Initial Teacher Training course
