Who we are

Spill offers message-based therapy - we’re on a mission to bring the benefits of therapy to the masses. We don’t just think this will help people who are struggling to pull through: we believe it will help everyone to develop better relationships with both themselves and others. We want to provide therapy service which is available whenever you need it, free at the point of use, and approachable rather than intimidating. We work with businesses and universities across the UK and let our users speak with a fully qualified UK therapist through a message-based app.

We are looking for people who have had listening training for mental health support crisis line, such as the Samaritans or similar.


What the role is

Our welcome team is at the heart of getting users started on Spill. Every person on this team not only believes in the Spill mission, but cares about each individual person that they have in their care, while introducing them to Spill.

As a welcomer, you have 3 jobs:

  1. obtain enough information about new users for Spill to be able to match them with a counsellor at Spill

  2. show new users how Spill works, point out the main features, and answer any questions they might have about the service or therapy in general

  3. act as a listener to each of your users, reflect on and acknowledge their letters and be there for them
