Get involved

Only UCL departments can book workshops for the programme on behalf of their students. But, if students wish participate in the Programme, we highly encouragem them to email their departments regarding their interest.

Here is a draft email you can send to your departments (make sure you fill in the gaps):

Dear [Head of Department],

Students' Union UCL has recently expanded the new Zero Tolerance to Sexual Harassment  to the Active Bystander Programme pledge for 2019/20. As a student in [Department] I think it’s really important that we register students, and commit to running Active Bystander workshops for new students next year, and saying full stop to bullying, harrassment and sexual misconduct.

[Add specifics on why this is important to you]

Your department will have received an email from the Active Bystander team informing you about the programme, and this also includes instructions about how to sign up; or you can email the team at [email protected]. I hope that this department will register for the programme on behalf of students and make a commitment to challenging bullying, harassment and sexual misconduct.

Best wishes,
