When students in the US set up encampments to protest the ongoing genocide in Gaza, they sparked a movement that spread like wildfire, exposing the links between major universities, the Israeli military and companies that directly profit from the occupation. Bearing a striking resemblance to the anti-Vietnam War movement in the 1960s, it shows the potential power of students in the struggle against capitalism and imperialism. That power is now fully displayed in Bangladesh where a student-led uprising toppled autocratic ruler Sheikh Hasina!

  • What can we learn from these inspiring revolts?
  • How can students link up and show solidarity with other movements?
  • What issues are likely to face UCL students in the coming months?

Join us on Monday the 30th for an anti-imperialist, anti-racist, and feminist discussion on what lessons can be drawn from past movements and how we can build a radical, socialist student movement at UCL and beyond.
