As the current Chair of Prose, I have had amazing opportunities to run prose workshops and collaborative events with other societies, and I'm always humbled and amazed by the work that members have shared in these sessions. I hope to continue serving the society in this position, because I still have many more ideas to bring to the table, and I look forward to hopefully being able to organise even more dynamic events in-person in the near future. During these uncertain times, writer's block looms menacingly on the horizon, but I hope that with everyone's creativity and passion for writing, we can keep elevating our skills in bringing our stories to life.
Arun Sharma
Having worked in the creative industry for over 7 years, I'm well versed in storytelling. As an actor, my job is to shape narrative through my own craft, to embody characterisations and to extend my imagination beyond finite reality. I believe my professional experience in both performance and production puts me in a unique position to nurture creativity and provide critical insight, with a gentle touch.

Structure is the scaffolding of stories. It is also the framework for grounding our imagination in practical practice, fundamental to a productive prose workshop. I shall provide a relaxed, safe atmosphere that enables the spirit to romp freely and soar to greater heights of creativity. But I will also challenge ourselves to dig a little deeper and delve into the depths of curiosity. To test our talent is to strengthen it. I will facilitate a place where we can innovate, enriching our understanding of what is possible with words, considering the potential of our work to inspire others.

I offer my life's experience, and my earnest endeavor to cultivate a nourishing space where genius can thrive.
Aarya Shetty
As an international student, I would love to introduce Writers' Society to literary experiences from all over the world. I would love to be given the opportunity to encourage students to explore their voice and language, especially today in the age of social media, where practically every individual has the potential to bring change through their words.
