Women's Network: Social Secretary

Female Empowerment is my top priority. In my studies and in my personal life I am dedicated to giving women a voice and platform to speak. I am a history student who specializes in gender history, where I portray in my essays and research how women did exert agency despite the patriarchy and the double standards that surrounded them. I am inspired by powerful women like Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Malala, or Amal Clooney who fight with their intellect and bravery to make this world a better place for women. I believe female empowerment must take place both top-down and from the grassroots level, thus it is so important for young women to stick together, network and empower one another in our future career paths and personal lives like the strong women we are! I thus look forward to engaging in this society, learning from other members, learning about oneself, debating, and being inspired by other ideas and arguments. I have been part of a committee previously, so I know what it takes and has learned how to work well in a committee environment. My fun-loving, open and welcoming personality will allow me to reach out to new members, be inclusive and inspire new people to join the society, as diversity and inclusion are the most important to me. I am part of the Advanced Ballet Competition Team, therefore I love team-work, I have learned perseverance and ambition, skills I would love to employ for the growth and promotion as well as the foundation of this society.
