As a society, we have made great progress when it comes to gender equality. Still, it is saddening to see that we have a long way to go. Within UCL, the Women's Network is doing the momentous work of assuring that we, students, don't encounter these issues. I am running for Publicity Officer since I believe in their cause and, furthermore, I want to spread it to a wider audience.

If I am elected as a Publicity Officer, I aim to increase the reach of campaigns and projects so as to make even more people aware of means to get involved with the network’s initiatives. One of my priorities is to improve the network’s social media presence by extensively promoting currently running campaigns as well as creating new ones that address all issues reported by the women of UCL. I will also ensure to bring awareness to all support systems that the Women’s Network provides and to strengthen the network’s ties with all the other UCL student bodies.

Having occupied PR coordinator and Social Media Officer positions in the past, I believe I have what it takes to make the voices of UCL women heard across campus and not only. I will use the skills I acquired to develop a strong promotion strategy across all information outlets and to make it possible for women to share their concerns and achievements. Overall, I admire the unity within the network and, as a Publicity Officer, I would take it upon myself to strengthen it and promote it.
